Summaries, reviews and news on the new series of Dr Who, starring Peter Capaldi and Jenna-Louise Coleman as the Doctor and Clara Oswin Oswald. 2016 News: Series 10 has been confirmed but no word yet as to whether it will be a split series across 2016/2017. Peter Capaldi will definitely be in it. Jenna Coleman has already left Doctor Who and won't be in series 10 as Clara Oswald. (However, she may guest appear as another version of Clara Oswald at some point!)

Regarding future episodes news, please assume that 'It has been rumoured that, suggested that' and 'media articles point to the idea that' is in front of every sentence,so you won't be disappointed. Most news is cobbled together from various sources and can change at the last minute, and that includes titles of stories! Most of this is NOT confirmed. Please enjoy these possible spoilers while waiting for the real news!

Doctor Who first started in the UK on the 23rd November 1963 and ran continually until 1989. (There was a test screening of the pilot episode a week previously in a small area of London but that doesn't count!) Doctor Who continued in the form of books, stage plays, comics, magazines and audio adventures. In 1996 a US/UK co-financed telemovie burst onto our screens. It didn't rate well in the US so a related series was never taken up. 2005 and Russell T Davies got the nod to bring back Doctor Who as a TV series. In 2010 Steven Moffat continued the legacy. Doctor Who has been reconfirmed for another annual series in 2016. Squeeeee!

3511. Heaven Sent
3512. Hell Bent
260. 281115 by Steven Moffat
        051215 by Steven Moffat
Part 1: Steven says this is one of the most stressful scripts he's ever written and we're never going to guess what will happen. Um, does Clara become a Time Lady? Does she become Romana? Steven works with new characters and situations with slight nods to the past. I'm guessing he only ever really stresses when he needs to get particular Doctor Who history right, so it's highly likely the Time Lords are returning. Further rumours suggest the return of Gallifrey, the degeneration to the 11th, 10th, 9th and 8th Doctor's bodies, and the Doctor needing to sacrifice the TARDIS to find Gallifrey. There is also a link to the 12th Doctor's appearance in Day of the Doctor.
Part 2: The Doctor is by himself, all alone. On Gallifrey. There is no one. Nothing. He has no idea where everyone is. Is he, like in The Space Museum, in another time track? Is he, like in Warrior's Gate, stuck in a reflection in another dimension? Is he, like in State of Decay, stuck in a universe on the other side of a charged vacuum emboitment? He has no idea. He wanders the empty shell of Gallifrey exploring long forgotten corridors, silent cathedrals, quiet as a graveyard rooms, and visiting his old barn.

3412. The Last Christmas
253X. 251214 by Steven Moffat
The Doctor and Clara face their last Christmas. Trapped on an arctic base, under attack from terrifying creatures, who are you going to call? Santa Claus!

Comment: The Last Christmas has got to be the most terrifying Christmas story yet. I can't even show my more sensitive adult friends! Thanks Moffat for the inception of dream crabs, and for comparing their Red Dwarf style brain through a straw sucking to the pain from an ice cream headache! I'll need to call my therapist again. Wait, did that statue move? I thought there was something there before but there's just silence. What's making that other shadow? Is that scuttling a dream crab under my bed? A clockwork droid? A crack in space time? A hand? Aaarrrgh. I think I need to see a doctor, but I've got to wait 9 months for an appointment. :( Are you my mummy?

More rumours soon!
