| The current place for TAVERN is upstairs in the Town Hall
Hotel next to Newtown Station. We still meet there on the 1st Friday every
month from about 7.30pm. No one is actually organising or running it. You
just turn up and say hi!

History
Monthly pub meetings of Doctor Who fans began in 1993 but it wasn't until
2001 that the website was finally begun.
TAVERN used to be held in 2002 at the Off Broadway Hotel under the Broadway
shopping centre in Ultimo, Sydney on the first Friday every month. We met
around 6:30pm in the bistro area and some of us moved upstairs to the coffee
area after 9:00pm (or when the very loud band started playing,  whichever
comes first).
This was your opportunity to meet Doctor Who fans in Sydney, buy the
latest Big Finish CD's (sometimes, if Dave King is there), and find out
latest news (if Dallas Jones is there!)
While many of the attendees are members of the Doctor Who Club of Australia,
you are not required to be a member of any club. Just a Doctor Who fan!!!
