Rose - The End of the World - The Unquiet Dead
This is the first DVD in a new series of Doctor Who. Doctor Who began in 1963 but temporarily ended in 1989. This new series, made in 2005, brings the Doctor up to date with state of the art special effects, a new theme tune, a new TARDIS console and a very fast storyline. It's 21st century WHO! This first DVD contains the first 3 episodes - Rose - The End of the World - The Unquiet Dead - which were screened in March/April 2005 in the UK. Rose
Rose works at Henriks clothing store in London. After a boring day she suddenly finds herself being chased by living plastic dummys in the basement of the store. Thankfully the mysterious traveller known as the Doctor appears to save the day by blowing the building up. 

But it doesn't end there. Rose becomes entangled in the adventures of the Doctor as he attempts to rid Earth from the invasion of the Nestenes. Rose must use all her wits to fight of advancing Autons, a flying hand, and dealing with the culture shock of travelling in a space/time machine shaped like a blue box. When the dummies come to life and begin killing people at the local shopping mall, Rose must save the Doctor, her boyfriend, her mum and the world, but maybe not in that order.

The End of the World

The Doctor takes Rose over 5 billion years into the future to watch the end of the Earth. They join a group of the richest aliens in the universe to watch from a nearby shielded satellite. But strange mechanical 4 legged spiders have invaded the satellite, damaging the infrastructure and putting the lives of all the aliens at risk. Rose deals with culture shock while the Doctor develops a friendship with a ravishing tree. Can the Doctor overcome his own demons to save the aliens? Which of the aliens is behind the sabotage? And why do they all speak English?

The Unquiet Dead

Rose and the Doctor journey to Christmas 1869 where they promptly discover gaseous aliens known as the Geith disrupting a recital by Charles Dickens. Chasing a captured Rose to the undertakers, the Doctor discovers that the dead are being possessed. The Doctor enlists the help of a psychic serving girl to make contact with the Geith via a seance. Can Charles Dickens help? Why do the Geith need to cross the time space bridge so urgently? And will the Doctor die in a dungeon in Cardiff?

Father's Day
Rose asks the Doctor to take her back to the time her father died so that she can be with him when he does. Rose changes time by saving her father from a car accident, causing Reapers from the time vortex to appear and excise the wound in time. People begin to disappear as they are absorbed by the Reapers. As more and more Reapers gather around the last people in existence, only one man can save them, and it's not the Doctor.


The Empty Child

The Doctor and Rose land in London during the blitz. Rose is rescued from certain death by a Time Agent from the 51st century and the Doctor investigates an alien illness that's converting people into an exact replica of a dead boy.

The Doctor Dances
Part 2 of the scariest episode this season. Captain Jack helps the team to investigate this further. Can Jack win the affections of Rose, or is he really after the Doctor!?!
