The Chaser's War on Everything is a comedy series from ABC TV in Australia. On the 21st July 2006 an episode contained a very well researched Doctor who song which suggests that at least one of the members of the team is a huge Doctor Who fan, even though the song ripped into Australian Doctor Who fans like a tiger into flesh. If you don't have a sense of humour, or can't laugh at yourself, then I'd recommend not watching this one. If you find any jokes about Doctor Who and Doctor Who fandom funny then you'll love this one! As far as I know there is no Wollongong Doctor Who Fan Club, but if you're looking for a fan club in Australia then I recommend the Doctor Who Club of Australia. You can watch some outtakes from the episode from the Chaser website here. Choose your player and connection speed and the video will play a selection of clips from the episode, including the Doctor Who Tribute song. If you like the clips you can subscribe to the latest episodes in podcast format here Here are the lyrics to the Doctor Who tribute song: Yo, Doctor Who is back. See if you can recognise this music.
I can hardly step outside
I even earned a special mention
Wooo, wooooooooooo, wooooooo
My friends say that I'm retarded
I don't know why that people laugh
It's hard to get a screw when you're a fan of Doctor Who His female companions I love them all
And when I go to shop at the ABC
All the girls say eww, he's a fan of Doctor Who I'm always sure to ask the question,
Was it William Hartnell, Peter Cushing, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Richard E Grant whoonlyplayedtheroleinthe40thanniversaryBBCinteractivewebcastadventure or Paul McGann? Oh, I couldn't fit it in the song but my favourite script editor is Robert Holmes You don't score much schmoo when you're a fan of Doctor Who. Woooo, woooo, wooooooooooooooooooo
